Sheri L. Betzer, CPA, CFE
 As a recognized industry leader in performing forensic accounting services, Sheri Betzer has been in private practice for almost 20 years. She has highly specialized expertise in cases involving white collar criminal and civil litigation; business and employee fraud schemes; tracing of cash flows; and the reconstruction of business records including financial statements and income tax returns. Sheri has extensive experience working with Federal and state law enforcement authorities in developing and prosecuting criminal referrals. She often communicates her investigative results as an expert witness.
Prior to entering private practice, Sheri was employed for 15 years as an IRS revenue agent. While with the IRS she examined individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns; performed fraud and forensic accounting investigations; provided expert witness testimony, and served as a certified instructor and technical advisor to IRS attorneys. On a national basis, Sheri has conducted training for IRS trial attorneys, criminal investigators, civil examiners and local law enforcement agencies in the area of forensic accounting. She has served as a key panelist in all-day live satellite broadcasts on business fraud, which were viewed across the U.S., and has been involved in related seminars in Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Wyoming, Tennessee and North Carolina. Sheri is also a frequent author of continuing professional education courses for CPAs. Sheri is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in the State of Colorado), Certified Fraud Examiner and member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and formerly served on the Board of Directors and Educational Foundation Board of Trustees for the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, she is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Women's Bar Association, and its Foundation, as a non-attorney member. She is also a non-attorney patron of the American Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association. She is a qualified expert witness in U.S. District Court (Districts of Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, Georgia and Oregon), U.S. Bankruptcy and U.S. Tax Courts, Colorado District Court and various county courts in the State of Colorado.
